Any interest in pulling together a 1st edition PBEM game?
Any interest in pulling together a 1st edition PBEM game?
Hey all,
I'm wondering if there's interest in pulling together a 1st edition PBEM game? I have missed VBAM greatly since my last game ended, and with 2nd Edition still in the works I think a new 1st edition game might be what is needed. No particular ideas for setting/optional rules/etc at the moment, just gauging if there is interest.

I would definitely be interested. I have been missing this since the last PBEM game I was in petered out after about 2 years.

Maybe. Would have to know what setting though.

This is so tempting, but I can at least help run the game if needed. I have been doing so much 2e reading lately that I am sure the lines between rules will blur a little.
On that note what are you guys thinking?

I stumbled across my Jovian Chronicles VBAM book recently so I'm highly tempted to run that. But I'm open for anything- we can do a pre-made universe with set force lists, start a campaign using the Starmada-X conversion, or something else entirely. What would people prefer?

I'm going to away for the weekend but when I return I will propose a couple of solid alternatives.

Sorry for the delay on this, work has been a little nuts. Still coming up with a campaign proposal!

Don't worry, we'll be waiting...

Waiting to see the final proposal before I see if there's room for one more

One thing I've always been interested in running is either the Jovian Chronicles setting or the Terran Civil War setting. Do either of those grab peoples interest?

Both of those are great settings, although JC might be easier to run as a multiplayer out the box?

Don't have Jovian Chronicles, but have TCW.

I think TCW could be run multi-player, just splitting each side into several 'fronts'. But I agree, JC would fit a few players right away without any problem.

The TCW does run well with several players per side. We could probably also keep players to run any break away worlds which remain "neutral".
