Since voting seems to be heavily favoring Guadalcanal for the last campaign slot, I thought I'd start a discussion about what kinds of missions should be involved for each side.
It'll be the US vs the IJN. A long MAS:WWII campaign is 5-6 missions. Given the importance of the campaign historically, this should probably be that length. What kind of missions do you think each side should be faced with?

Re: MTO Guadalcanal Campaign Discussion
Guadalcanal will have all kinds of missions; hits on the supply ships, raids on the airfield, battlefield support, and attacks on the local warships which where constantly harassing the troops positions.Charles Lewis wrote:Since voting seems to be heavily favoring Guadalcanal for the last campaign slot, I thought I'd start a discussion about what kinds of missions should be involved for each side.

I'm not sure what sort of design-philosophy you're following, and feel free to kick me if I'm out of line - but can I suggest making the scenarios scalable (that is, allow for increasing the difficulty for tougher MAS) - this will make the scenarios more flexible, and allow them to be used with green, average and elite MAS (i.e.: replay value),
I'm no expert on Guadalcanal, but I would also suggest that the majority of campaigns should be "themed" with either mostly air or mostly surface targets (naturally there should be the odd exception). Perhaps this could also extend to adjusting the likelihood of facing particular types of foe (an air patrol over friendly air-space should have a reduced likelihood of facing ground threats for example, and so the result of "6" could be replaced with two lots of air threats instead),
