Mig -17 bomb loads?

Post by pouncer »

:?: Just a quick question about the Mig - 17 on its lack of bombloads? I found some information on the internet about the Mig - 17. It says that it can carry bombs and drop tanks (max load 550 lbs.) but mentioned that the load was light for the time the aircraft was in use.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiG-17

I am wondering if this was the case not to include hard points on the Mig - 17?

The MiG-17 is a funny creature from my readings. You are correct that many variants exist, and the the later upgrades included the ability to carry a few missiles or freefall bombs. I went with the smaller, and older version in the first MAS rulebook mostly from a game designer point of view, and because most of those built seemed to be of the first variety.

We even discussed that here: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/258662

The updated MiG-17 is definetly going to show up in the expansions too :) .
