Ashes of Andromeda: LFP (Starmada style)

Howdy! I failed remarkably at getting people to commit to a campaign from wargame events and game store ads. Should have started here and at Starmada's forums.
I am trying to start up a CM'd VBAM:Starmada game with as many AE elements as I can patch in. Turns would be PBeM on my site below, and Starmada fights could be either in person or on Vassal.
I have some Starmada people interested in a campaign, but are VBAM people curious the other way?
