For those that haven't seen the artwork yet, here is the current artwork for the Star Charts book:

I have set a hard deadline for the end of the month to get this book released. Here's to hoping I make that deadline!

You know, that cover without the text would make fantastic wallpaper.

"You are can have wallpaper?"
I will see about getting it converted into a wallpaper and see what happens. The spine line may be an issue, but then I might be able to fix that, too -- the Persian astrolabe in the background isn't a solid object, so it would take some tweaking, but I will see what I can do.
The price of the book should end up in the $19.95 range for print, or around $10 electronic. I won't know for sure until I have everything in the book. There is a chance it may bloat up a few bucks on the print version, simply because of print costs.

I got distracted around the holidays, but I am working on finishing the book up (finally). I originally had the draft setup in Microsoft Word, but started running into stability issues with the document (too much artwork makes Word go wonky), so I have spent the last two evenings porting it into InDesign CS. So far I haven't had any real problems doing so (knock on wood).
I still have some star systems left to generate, and some additional supplementary text to write up. All in all, I would say half of the book is completely finished... it is just the *other* half that is going to take some time to get prepped and ready to go. It is getting there, however, and I am optimistic for a near-term release (though I have been saying that for awhile now).
