I will second that! This site does look very good. I do have one minor issue. When I go to the page, the map only shows the extreme western edge. I can scroll up and down, but I cannot pan left or right. Is there a specific web browser that you would prefer that I use?
Thanks!

Re: Glorious Stars Intro (feel free to jump in)
It is reassuring that while times may change, the liveliness of these Chambers remains as spry as ever. My House thanks Lady Viola of Imperial House Raptor for the understanding of the need for guidance on the neutral systems and piracy. Further, Erina Boudicca, Baroness of Gienah of Great House Bou...

Re: Glorious Stars Intro (feel free to jump in)
Ha ha ha. Nicely done Tyrel, nicely done. I had a "rules" question, but it didn't fit this thread. Let's see if I can change that. We return to the NEE Assembly and House Craytan has received their time for their opening remarks as Representative Altorin sa Jenlon speaks. Honored Lady Viol...

Re: The Glorious Stars Playtest
House Craytan Scientia Est Potentia - "Knowledge Is Power" House Craytan is one of the younger Houses, although youth is a relative term given humanity’s time in space. This House came into being in the tumultuous years that saw House Raptor come to power and create the New Earth Empire. ...

Re: The Glorious Stars Playtest
Jay, I would enjoy the opportunity to participate, particularly since the previous online VBAM campaigns have never made it past turn 2! I am a rookie with the game, so please place me wherever you feel is appropriate (minor house, rim, whatever). I can start with Craytan as my faction (house or oth...

Re: Playtest Rules Notes
I was under the impression that we had to purchase everything we wanted to start. Jay's e-mail indicated that a Shipyard and Starport are very important. Also, we would have 500 EPs available to start with a recommendation of using around 150 EPs on civilian fleets. Iron Sky, you make a good point a...

Re: Initial Builds - Homestretch Playtest
I am not exactly a rookie with this, but I am pretty close. I have had the chance to try a few 1E campaigns, but they have all folded fairly quickly. I am very interested in participating in this playtest. I think that the designers have some interesting evolutions from 1st to 2nd edition. It does a...

Initial Builds - Homestretch Playtest
Hello Everyone, There has been a little lull in the e-mail traffic this weekend, so I thought I would kick off a little discussion. Our playtest groups are in the process of picking out there initial builds and there certainly appears to be several routes that individuals can take. As it stands curr...

Re: Web play aids
This is an interesting project. I personally like the effort of indicating your ability to supply a system at a glance. Looking over the playtest rules, you may be able to add in symbols/information about capitals, supply depots (although that is partly in the green supply you show), as well as clai...

Re: Technology pdf questions
I'm resurrecting a quiet thread, but this appears to be the most relevant section to discuss technology in 2E. I am looking at the Tender and Hangar abilities. Let's take Tyrel's Columbus carrier example that has a Hangar rating of 8. This rating means the Columbus can hold up to 8 SIZ of fighters i...

Re: Converting Established games to VBAM for campaigns.
Charles, Thanks for the heads-up. I agree that it would be bad to put a ton of time into things only to have major changes occur. I can see one tough issue with the conversion is the fact that the 2E ships have more complexity in them than the 1E designs. At the end of the day, for a conversion the ...

Re: Converting Established games to VBAM for campaigns.
My apologies to Sting52jb for not providing any insight to his existing question. However, he brings up the question of converting other games. Bandit - As you work on your new web page, are you planning on redoing the B5Wars ships as 2nd Edition VBAM stats? I am curious as I would like to know if o...

Thanks Charles. I like how this sets up a longer fight for a star system. As you noted, the attacker has to watch out for the defender coming through the front door as well as being able to trap either side if they loose their jump ships. Additionally, the defender has choices as to where to set up ...

Here is a thought
This is a follow-up to my initial question. In the setting I am working on, I have not liked the feel of a Captain's level map as the setting has a lot of slugging it out across an entire star system. This naturally led me to look at the Commodore creation, but that grew too cumbersome quickly. I've...
