By the mighty power of 56K dial-up...

I did a 'box' counter for the Ibuki Warship from Wars Of Boltians/Kuissans.

I can quite happily render flat ones of the ships I have..

The best place to ask questions is on the Aurora forum. Even if I am not available to answer questions there are a lot of other people who will be happy to help. When you mentioned sunny Longridge, is that Longridge near Preston? I am in Longton, just at the other side of Preston. Steve Hehe though...

I'm slowly trying to get to grips with it. I like it, lots of pretty buttons and lots to do. Good, excuse tis my last day at work in sunny Longridge. So I am not doing too much (well there deducting some course fees from my last pay packet so I am doing as little as possible) I can pretty much try i...

Finally got around to checking the shelves... I can recommend Execution Hour and Shadow Point, both by Gordon Rennie. They're set in the 40k-verse, but are focused on the Imperial fleet, and have some pretty good naval combat in them. Damn two I missed before I got interested in reading W40K books ...

My boo boo sorry Jay. Its actually my 1st mission for Fox Squadron in WW2... so no stand off missiles. Two Hurricanes vs 1 Lone Ba 27M Metallico +1 pilot Not rolled his NPO yet. I think even outnumbered 2 to 1 he's got a chance. Both Hurricane pilots are regulars. Mind you theres another 2 Hurricane...

NPO outnumbered.

Is it reasonable to assume that unless the are real good or have a good jet/plane any outnumbered bogey will attempt to bug out asap?

A 'relucant' NPO would do it any how, 'Chaos' maybe or not?

MAS:XLS Sheet

Hello, I've posted the WW2 playsheet for MAS:MTO WW2 on the yahoo group. A couple of things: It isn't perfect. You find yourself not tracking every combat turn one after the other. Its missing some counters and well its using just two fighters for the board sheet. You might not even use the board sh...

This would make balancing the game much easier, and doctrine could then be applied as a racial trait? Bingo! Thats what I was thinking. You hit the nail on the head. Without making the system more complicated, it just tells you the sort of vessels/combat a race prefers. Its more for flavour than a ...

Sounds like a challenge.. Just need some ideas for doctrines that'd fit in a VBAM game. You can understand a race who was avian in nature would favour Fighters. I figure on the one hand tactical doctrines more for flavour and says what a race/power likes and on the other it could mean some sort of c...

Doctrines

Has anyone thought of tactical doctrines.? For the menagerie or a tech research? For example Capital Ship doctrine. The race favours large warships. Carrier Doctrine (Like WC) Squadron Doctrine. (favour Small warship groups) etc. These would define what sort of ship a race would favour. To change wo...
