My playtest empire has 422 EP of military units that costs it 18 EP per turn to maintain (+6 EP from facilities and +1 EP from my single spy). Total income is 57 system income and 7 commerce income. Aha, I had several errors in my spreadsheet- I had MC based on BC not MU, and for CC I was dividing by 2 not 5 (which makes supply ships a lot more plausible). Thanks for the corrections! Tyrel, thanks for the insight and will do! I will probably get the campaign proper started tomorrow and I will post a new thread then. I'll include unit stats and my initial purchases in the first post. Hopefully it will be of use.

1. FTL/Atmospheric MU cost, round up or down?
2. Do fighters now have normal CR/CC stats like units? What about bases?

Ok, the above seems pretty clear. Another question, this time about unit design- are the design rules different for different unit types, and if so in what ways? Ie, are space stations and flights just ships without FTL, or do they differ in the construction rules?

1. Research- so you get tech points for free AND can spend EP, got it. 2. Industry- so this is basically a per turn cap, not a 'rolling' cap? So if I have 30 capacity in a system I can lay down 3 10$ ships one turn and 3 more 10$ cost ships the next turn, even though the first set are not finished? ...
