Comments on latest playtest

I see you have decided to move the discussion away from the game company message board to your personal patreon account. But I hope it is still ok to discuss here the posts you make there. A couple observations worth what you pay for them.... The critical hit mechanic is a cool idea, but it is way t...

Re: Any life in the old girl?

It is great to hear that you haven't completely abandoned this game, it still has lots of potential. Could I just make a suggestion/request. Please finish the supplements for 2E that you promised and then go back to work on Galaxy. I get that you are sort of out of the 2E headspace, but you promised...

Any life in the old girl?

Is there anything to hope for with this game? Tyrel hasn't posted for months, none of the promised supplements seem to be coming out, and only some fan work has been done with Galaxies. Is it dead? I hope not, I feel like there is still potential here, but maybe time to move it to new management.......

Re: VBAM Second Edition to Starmada Nova

Hey BroAdso, did you ever take a look at the conversion from Unity? I get the impression that VBAM is basically dead, but I still have a small dream of doing a VBAM version of a Fed and Empire game with the ships stated in Starmada for select tactical battles. Basically doing the old idea of F&E...

Re: Your Wishlist for Companion and First Contact?

Ok, that makes sense. So we should think of Galaxies as a sort of 2.5E? It could work. And really, whatever it takes to keep things grinding out is the best choice, so its all good.

Re: Your Wishlist for Companion and First Contact?

So any news on these products? More than a year since they were headed to final touches and layout..... I am curious if all the energy has gone into Galaxies and the 2nd Edition line, as currently stands, is dead or what is the plan? I understand that you have very limited time to spend on this busi...

Re: So this is dead?

You know, you are right. It is a bit churlish of me. I should have more restraint. I get frustrated, but I should just let it go. I have done a little reviewing of the rules and have offered to join the testers group (which they accepted but then never followed through with), so I have a bit of... n...

Re: Second Edition is Coming in the Year 3000

It is exciting that it is coming together Tyrel. And it is great that you have a whole release sched roughed out, it is good to see that it will quickly be built into a robust game system. I am really looking forward to this.

Re: Second Edition is Coming in the Year 3000

Tyrel, I really think you should reconsider the ship design system you are putting in this release. In as much as it really isn't a system at all. Are you really sure that is what people want? I get you are going for simple, but I think this is way too far. The system now is just pick some numbers, ...

Re: Second Edition is Coming in the Year 3000

Thats great to hear. I suspected that there was lots of material out there, it is just a matter of getting it kicked out the door. It would be great to also see a little life in the Boltian and Escalation universes.

Re: Second Edition is Coming in the Year 3000

First of all, thanks for the update. Now I will try to ask this as gently as possible. I had bought all the products of 1E, because I, like many of us who still stick around here, like the game but also like a bit more detail. From what I have seen of the new 2E, it is.... very simple. I think that ...

Re: Just askin'

Why would you assume it was happening at all? He said it would be public and in a couple days..... but now nothing. I just don't get it.
