I've banned that username, deleted that account and blocked that email address.

And just added three more spammer accounts. I've now blocked any email address from mail.ru

They are an unfortunate nuisance that are hard to get rid of. Once possible solution would be to require all accounts to be authorized by an administrator, which would at least keep them from posting... though someone would still have to go in from time to time to prune out the junk accounts.

I can't remember what I did in the past to stem the tide of junk submissions... I may have to try and remember.
