CSCR Skirmish and directed damage allocation

Post by mriddle »

When using the skirmish rules, is the damage from firing squadrons added together before allocation or is it applied separately.
example
3 squadrons fire on one squadron with 6 escorts (DV2) and one CA (DV 7)
each firing squadrons does 5 points of damage..
now if the damage is resolved separately then the flag ship can not be targeted by (need 11 points to cripple the CA)
defender would apply 5 points, then 5 more, then 5 more..

if the damage is totaled into one amount then CA can be targeted (11 points to cripple the CA and 4 left to apply by the defender)

I believe it’s done separately for each attack, but I don't usually do that, so I could be wrong.

From what I read the rules just today, I understand it's tallied separate.

I always tally it seperately. Tyrel, the author of this particular optional rule, may have intended it differently but that is how I always play it.

Found the book answer.. in the example list in 4.17.4.1 second paragraph it says: "Each is scored individually"
