As for the comment about the new CSCR being a tactical engine, well it's not. Compare the decision points and effort involved with the new CSCR with pretty much any actual tactical tabletop space combat game. If you want to argue semantics, it could be said that the new CSCR should be called the CO...

My wife and I hardly get out to movies anymore - price of having small kids! BUT having seen Star Trek, we managed to engineer a second viewing. That should say a lot about how much we enjoyed it. Sure, it had plot holes big enough to drive the Entrprise through, but the overall story is presented ...

Drag Me to Hell (since this is post 666)
I caught the Sam Raimi (and family lol) movie "Drag me to Hell" because: I like Sam's movies and sense of humor, and I had this dubious post looming over my head. It was a short, wild, fun ride. If you liked Army of Darkness , you'll like this. Drag Me is a tad darker though I must say and...

14.3.4 (Fog of War) Should Deception be used here as well ? ie Should the players have standing orders for faking smaller or larger I like the idea of this. Using a small group of EW ships to broadcast themselves as BCs or BBs squadrons would be nice and keeping with the various hide and seek games...

Also the retreat check has caught my eye. Currently there seems to be no downside to attempt a premature retreat and the chance is not that bad either. d6 + no. of rounds + a bonus against the total scenario length? That is not too hard achieve in most scenarios. Why should an inferior fleet not al...

I like morale being decoupled from census. Intel cost for missions to change morale could be tied to census size, as it would be easier to influence a census 3 planet than a census 10 planet. That was one of the things I disliked about morale in 1e, in that a census 1 system was either in good orde...
