The way I remember it production slowed quite a bit after that on the license because Hollywood has been trying to get the live action Robotech reboot made for awhile now. There may be something out there these days because no one could make the Hollywood version work.

Re: Crossover Works
Right! The Dilgar War era model had particle beams and plasma IIRC, instead of lasers and pulse cannons.

Re: Crossover Works
There were a lot of fun variants that AoG introduced, especially in variants 1 and 2, that made sense in the context of the universe. Like taking a stable hull, such as the Hyperion, and trying to make it work with railguns or attempting to make a command variant. Some of that was experimentation wi...

Re: Crossover Works
I used the Ramming Factor (and to a lesser extent Class) as the basis for my initial class designations. That would probably work well enough for the most part. It may be an issue when you get to some of those dedicated ramming ships, like the Dilgar or Oreini had. Those are probably easy enough to...

Re: Crossover Works
Looks pretty good so far. I felt a lot of the ISD's from AoG were fairly arbitrary, especially when we got in to the variants. So pegging them to something more sensible works for me. Interesting that you pegged the G'Quan, Omega, and Octurion as BC's, but I could see that working. If you want to PM...

Re: Conversions (was Crossover Works)
Well then, I will definitely get started on it. I did a B5 one for 1ed a long while back and still have the spreadsheets for it. My plan for a 2ed conversion, right now, (will probably change as more rules arrive) is as follows: Please do. With our recent Dilgar playtests I have had a chance myself...

Re: Crossover Works
Please do! The submission guidelines are for those players who wish to submit something as a future product, which is an entirely different process than fans posting their own work for other players to use.
Thank you,

Re: Favorite Tactical Systems to use with VBAM
Jay is the one that is leading up the development on the Full Thrust and Colonial Battlefleet expansions, while I spend my time updating the 1e rules to work with 2e and make corrections based on the playtest experience since they were first released. Jay has done preliminary development on both, a...

There will be some PBEM opportunities for sure!sunwolf wrote:Pretty cool. A pity I don't have a current group to playtest with. I'd do solo or create a PBEM group.

Re: Three Moves Ahead: Lost in Space
2e has skirted that map issue. I think Jay is still aghast at the size of some of the maps (despite them being used by a slightly modified version of the random galaxy generator from 1e), but since we have a single set of statistics for each system we can get away with having more systems on the ma...

Re: 2nd Edition progress?
The design decision from the last six months are going to have lasting effects on how we approach future products. This means breaking the rules down to be easier to handle, and removing extra "levers" that only add complexity without any meaningful increase in fun value. That was pretty ...

Re: 2nd Edition progress?
The goal right now is still to have 2e out by June 30th and the new website up by the July 4th holiday. The nice thing is that we have some big announcements to follow the release. While Tyrel was polishing up 2e we were able to get a lot more work done on the side projects to support it. So yes, we...

Re: Printer-friendly versions
First post here, hi all. Very interested in this game and planing to pick up the campaign guide and companion. Welcome aboard! However I see that the preview pdfs have a big dark border on every page which is going to suck up a ton of ink when I print them out. Any chance there are printer-friendly...

Yep! Very close.
BTW, your code looks good so far. I hope to put that all to good use soon.
