I was thinking along the lines of BSG, Homeworld, Ithorians and the Covenant from HALO.

I covered some of this in my own BSG conversions and in the Tech Book draft. I think the big concern and reservations I have is how Nomadic race rules would be utilzed in a normal campaign. I can quickly see an non-nomadic race trying to capture nomadic ships just so they could have mobile productiv...

I know mine usually includes lots of handouts; Maps, status sheets ect. Though I am a big fan of using known settings.

I have not gone anywhere and I am looking forward to the playtest. When is the playtest scheduled to begin?

I am still slugging away on the Techbook. One of the major hold ups for me has been the CSCR 2.0 since a lot of the tech book introduces new unit abilities. I am hoping to launch a playtest once RoundCon is over and I have time.

Funny enough I am nearing completion on my own take on CSCR 2.0 as well, amoung other things. I had a brainstorm the other night while I was in the shower.

Didn't Rainer's playtest game have a similar mechanic for limiting bomber heavier ordenances to a number of uses? While I sort of like the idea of making fighters have to return to thier carriers to rearm, the idea loses its glitter when you consider high tech units that primarily utilze energy base...
