Bombardment has dropped enemy morale by 1 but there are still holding out. We'll see if they still want to remain independent if their morale drops further. BTW the rules are currently about 140 pages of text (and some sections will still have to added). The objective generator needs a lot of space ...

Yes but they were regular infantry and therefore not that useful in an invasion scenario with limited assault shipping. If I really need to do this the hard way, then better troops will have to be used.

While I am waiting for Charlie to show up (as he's our conversion guru) I do want to point that most of them are already in.

You just don't have access to them in the beginning. You would need to spend a tech advancement on the general starship section to get better civilian ships.

The Fed force was only a lone FF. I've decided to let it go and just take my mission VP for the scenario as I've got bigger fish to fry. The Klingon settlers in the system seem to think they can stay independent. A mistake that will soon be corrected. My task force will begin bombarding the system w...

Cowards.

If I cannot catch them, I am seriously tempted to follow them into Delphi next turn.

Sorry, that should be a d6 die roll + lab points >= 10.

My lone D6 is of course otherwise engaged.

Exactly. We cannot have the Feds oppressing poor border planets. After all, there would be no one left for me to oppress. Besides, isn't the first lesson "When in doubt, use more Photons!"? Also I completed my first minor objective. The next mission is to pick up an officer lost ...

Since most of my fleet is there (1 D6, 3 F5) I will take a closer look. Then it might be time to convince the locals to rejoin our glorious empire.

The bravest F5W in the entire fleet that is! I am curious to see how this one works out myself, especially with the new rule adaptations. Hmm, after rereading the turn update it seems I was mistaken about the location of the sensor contact. I had thought it was in the north. Instead it was near Del...

Currently the problem with the larger scales seems to be that a lot of units that would be useful / needed there have not (yet) been converted into FC.

At the moment our focus is on getting the local scale right so maybe Jay or Charlie can make some progress on that front.

I have decided to ignore it for now as long as it heads into Fed space. We'll see if any interesting opportunities will arise.

Besides, a single F5W is the only ship in the vicinity at the moment. I don't want to risk it for no gain.

We have finished T2 now and rule rewrites / clarifications are coming in almost daily. After finding some more spare cash it seems that my Klingons are almost rich. Nevertheless I've decided to disband my ground troops to maximize income. As the transport fleets will be needed to colonize neutral sy...

mwaschak wrote:It is a tough call. Were you thinking about requesting or building that F5?
I want to build it although it seems more likely that I will start the intel mission this turn and see if I can get some VPs. They would allow me to fill out my cruiser maintenance group if I want to request some ships.

Is this campaign double-blind, with you knowing only what your ships can see? Yes. The first reports coming in from our forces indicate that we found a large empty planet (capacity 10) though it is not very mineral rich (RAW 2). The Chancellor in his infinite wisdom has transferred a new transport ...

Can you give us some examples of costs, or are you prohibited from giving us too much detail? I try to keep things vague for now as the start of this game has caused a lot of rewrites and revisions. The force lists also will receive a new update soon and that may affect costs. If I really start to ...
