Star Trek: The Final Frontier
Hello, everyone! I got badly distracted by this project and I'd love your input on it. Each of the following ship books has a complete unit list for a Trek faction from VBAM Tech Year 2990 to VBAM Tech Year 3030. The intent is to let players start with access to the whole first page of unit lists (2...

Small salute to VBAM in another game...
Silly, but minor salute to VBAM source material in an entirely different game. Nulosians were always one of my favorite races from the Menagerie, and they are one of the ones which most easily fits into the species attributes available in Stellaris. So here they are: http://i.imgur.com/KH2iXyI.jpg

Re: The Four Year's War: Prelude
First six months played! Now it's time for your input. Give strategic advice to the Federation, storyline advice to the CM to think of missions and events to insert into things, and more. These two documents show where things stand as of 06.2240, and the one battle in which we engaged over the first...

Re: With A Purpose quick question
I developed a solution for this in a previous game, and you'll see it at work in the one I am about to run here with a Trek theme. Essentially, the Neutral system in a WAP setting's chance of attacking ships entering the system is equal to: 10% + (DV + AP + AS total of ships not defenses belonging t...

The Four Year's War: Prelude
In the early 23rd Century, the Federation's rapid growth tested its political unity, technological inventiveness, and diplomatic skill. In this adventure, we will be following and taking part in the defense and administration of a crucial section of Federation space, the Arcanis (or Archanis, depend...

Re: What's next?
These changes all sound great - really looking forward to them. I finished up my Margravate With A Purpose campaign (though I got lazy about exporting the battle reports to PDF) and am looking forward to trying an exploration campaign. My work gets a lot slower in July and August (teaching) so I int...

Re: Your Wishlist for Companion and First Contact?
Sounds great! How much tweaking did sector-based movement require? I'm particularly interested in that because it's germane for a Star Trek setting. Looking over the last edition's rules, it shouldn't need too much change to port over.

Re: Federation Admiral Public Update
As to my question - when I finish another draft of this stuff, Jay and Tyrel, would it be more appropriate to put in this thread or make a seperate thread for homebrew trek conversion?

Re: Your Wishlist for Companion and First Contact?
Solo campaign advice would be helpful, as would a one or two page "quick reference guide" to turn resolution orders and things to remember to do. Some organizational suggestions - your record sheets at the back are a nice start to this - would also he helpful. Thanks for all your hard work...

Re: VBAM 2e: The Fall of the Margravate
In the wake of the surprisingly stiff and xenophobic response in Helespont, the Commodore has decided to pursue a cautious course - some dropships for the Marines, additional fighters for the Ripley-class carriers, and bowing to the desires of the Incworld back home by funding the creation of anothe...

Re: Federation Admiral Public Update
Here's a presentation-worthy draft of both Federation and Romulan ships from the Romulan War era. Suggestions and thoughts either for the ships themselves or the graphics/presentation? RomulanWarTrialShips.pdf Also, should I start a new thread for this since it isn't part of the real/official Starfl...

Re: VBAM 2e: The Fall of the Margravate
OOC: This is report from Fleet-Captain Kuo to Commandant Hogell. His task force arrived back in the system on 3005.2.24, and filed it. The commandant is preparing orders for 3005.3 now, and this intelligence about the Margravate's reactions to the Task Force should be helpful. Fleet-Captain Kuo’s L...

Re: VBAM 2e: The Fall of the Margravate
Fiction takes time to write, so the fictional accompaniment to the Standoff at Hellespont is on its way. Not much happened on 3005.2, as the Fleet-Captain Kuo, in command of the Commandant's Fleet, returns to New Luskana. You'll note that the 3005.2 spending is only two EP, which means next turn we'...

Sample ground combat rules
Hello, all. I like the current VBAM 2e ground combat rules - they do their job well, and the focus of the game is space battles, not planetary ones. However, I felt like monkeying around a little bit and came up with this system for making planetary combat a little more complex without quite bringin...
